Mark Rains

Mr. Rains has practiced law his entire career in Blue Springs beginning in 1975. He is actively engaged in the practice of family law, dissolutions, custody, paternity, child support and other family law related matters, as well as civil cases, municipal and traffic matters, business litigation, commercial litigation, wills, estate planning, probate, personal injury, and general tort litigation.  Mr. Rains is a 1966 graduate of Windsor High School in Windsor, Missouri. He completed his undergraduate degree at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri in 1970. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1975 from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.

Mr. Rains is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association. He has served as a chairman of the Family Law Committee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

Mr. Rains is active in his community having served on the Board of Directors of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce; the Blue Springs Rotary Club Board, the Blue Springs High School PTSA Board and the Board of Trustees of Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Missouri (Currently chairman of the Board of Trustees). He has coached soccer, baseball and basketball and has given tennis lessons through the Parks and Recreation Department. He is active in the First Baptist Church of Blue Springs as a deacon, teacher, and orchestra member.

When not practicing his profession, Mr. Rains enjoys spending time with family, golf and tennis.
